Why “The Raw Adventure”?

I need to give some backstory: when Ben proposed to me in September 2011, he said that he “could not promise security or wealth but every day would be an adventure.” (pro tip: he recommends this line to other guys getting married, ha).

I remember that moment clearly and it really has been an adventure! Between the dynamics of jobs and moving five times, starting a farm, welcoming four children over the past nine years… this life is an adventure. And on this blog, my goal is to share not only the farm happenings and our adventures as a farming family, but ways that you can bring the farm to you and be fueled to live your own adventure!
