Bottling Team Member
Our mission is to offer high quality, delicious, and wholesome milk for our herd share members!
You would be considered a valuable part of our team to ensure milk is safely and accurately bottled according to high quality standards in preparation for weekly deliveries to drop sites across Virginia.
Job responsibilities:
Assist in the bottling and production of whole milk, heavy cream, chocolate milk, and kefir.
Set up and take down equipment.
Maintain a smooth and efficient workflow during the bottling process.
Maintain and meet high standards for quality control (bottles are clean and filled accurately, caps are placed on bottles correctly, filled bottles look presentable, etc.)
Responsible for safely operating and handling equipment and machinery in the bottling room.
Clean equipment in a proper and timely manner to ensure safety and quality.
Clean bottling room while maintaining high standards.
Clean and organize the cooler.
Assist with maintaining inventory / supplies and notifying the appropriate person when items are low.
Perform other duties as assigned by the creamery supervisor or other members of the Creambrook Farm leadership team.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is a very active role that requires frequent walking, lifting, moving, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, lift, stoop, stretch, crawl, and other activities to perform job responsibilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Use correct body mechanics to prevent injury to self and others.
Work environment: This position requires inside work that will result in marked changes in temperatures. Ability to stand, walk, and work on wet concrete for the entirety of work shift. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to dust, fumes, odors, and airborne particles with limited exposure to chemical hazards. This role uses bottling equipment and dollies.
Schedule: This position’s schedule may include several shifts per week, typically between the hours of 7 AM - 3 PM on weekdays. Occasional evenings and/or Saturdays may be required based upon bottling and staffing needs.
Dairy Farm Assistant Position
Our family-owned raw milk farm, located in Middlebrook, VA, is looking for a full-time or part-time Dairy Farm Assistant. Creambrook Farm is a grass-based dairy with its cows on pasture for 365 days per year. Our mission is to offer high quality, delicious, and wholesome raw milk and other raw milk-based products for our herd share members.
We truly value our employees, and you would be an integral part of our team to ensure that our herd is well cared for. Responsibilities include participating in the daily operations of our farm and meeting high standards during milking. This is a wonderful opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to join our dairy farm.
Job responsibilities may include:
Prepping and milking cows up to two times daily in the milking parlor, on a rotating schedule.
Assisting with rotation / moving of the herd.
Observing the herd for signs of injury or illness.
Operating and maintaining farm equipment.
Crop / field work.
Maintain fencing.
Farm maintenance.
Other duties as assigned by owner / direct supervisor.
Job requirements:
Looking for someone with a working knowledge in farming operation/equipment and/or with dairy cows. (Candidates may be considered who have little or no prior farm / dairy experience but who have an eagerness and willingness to learn.)
Must be able to work well with and enjoy being around cows.
Ability to successfully work with little or no supervision; self-starter.
Willingness to be adaptable when last-minute changes arise.
Demonstrate high personal energy levels (commitment, initiative, persistence).
Demonstrate good attendance.
Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 75 pounds.
Requires prolonged periods of walking and standing.
Must be able to bend, lift, stoop, stretch, climb, crawl, and other activities to maintain equipment and buildings and perform job responsibilities.
Ability to build and maintain positive, professional, and collaborative relationships with the Creambrook team, vendors, and the public.

Work Schedule:
Full-time or part-time hours available.
Weekdays and / or rotating weekends, depending on full-time or part-time status.
Morning milking begins at 5 AM; evening milking ends around 5 PM. (Other farm responsibilities are typically completed in-between milking times on weekdays.)
