New babies around the farm.

This is our first year calving "tri-seasonally" with three separate calving seasons. For the past several years, our cows gave birth whenever they were bred by the bulls, and we would welcome calves year-round.

However, last year we made the decision to have calving seasons for 45ish days starting March 1st, July 1st and November 1st. The primary reason for this change is to better improve our calf raising practices by raising calves in groups that are all the same age (this wasn't possible with a few calves being born every few weeks).

This March, we have had twelve cows calve in eleven days and have about 28 cows still due to calve soon! It's an exciting time on the farm and we are loving seeing these cute faces in the barn!
